Background of the Event
At a critical stage when China's economy is advancing toward high-quality development, cultural and tourism consumption is becoming an increasingly prominent driving force for stimulating domestic demand and promoting economic growth. Recently, the General Office of the State Council issued the Measures on Further Cultivating New Growth Areas and Boosting Cultural and Tourism Consumption, which serves as a timely boost, injecting strong momentum into the continued development of the cultural and tourism industry.
Among these measures, the initiatives focused on developing the nighttime cultural and tourism economy are particularly noteworthy. The document emphasizes support for enriching cultural and tourism offerings in nighttime consumption clusters, encouraging the organization of activities such as folk performances, lantern festivals, temple fairs, and light shows. It also promotes the localized development of “nighttime water tours” and supports the upgrading and transformation of nighttime lighting and landscape illumination in major commercial consumption districts across various regions.
The 2025 Hongwei · Asia Cultural Tourism Lighting Expo will be held from May 10 to 12 at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou. The exhibition is planned to cover 10,000 square meters, showcasing a wide range of cultural tourism lighting technologies and equipment, night tour lighting applications and creative products, as well as lighting solutions for cultural and tourism projects. The event will feature 200 brand exhibitors and is expected to attract over 20,000 professional visitors, serving as a vital platform for launching new products, expanding market channels, and fostering industry communication.
During the expo, the 2025 Asia Cultural Tourism Lighting Industry Development Conference will be held concurrently, focusing on the cross-sector integration of lighting with culture, art, and ecology. The conference will feature the sharing of innovative cases such as lighting art installations, light shows, and theme park lighting designs, while exploring the application value and development potential of cultural tourism lighting in diverse scenarios.
